Would it be possible to implement barcode/QR code scanner so the QR code is translated and pasted in the text field?3 votes
Create shortcut to insert date/time into text or even better make PadKeys enable TextExpander app snipets. Thanks.1 vote
I like your Keyboard very much. It's close to perfect, even for me as a windows-pc user.
But please, I would appreciate more options such as
- on/off for keystroke popups (sorry, I hate them)2 votes
Does any other keyboard make these an option? If there is something not working well about them in PadKeys, please try to describe it, and we will work on it.

Could you please add a setting where the keyboard (only the top row) becomes taller than it already is in "regular" mode? You could call this new setting "tall" mode.
I've attached mockups for both landscape and portrait.
Note: "Tall" mode in landscape actually looks like a full-sized keyboard, and only takes up a few extra pixels.
P.S. If you combine this with my comments in the suggestion entitled "Arrow Keys: ALL of them! ▲▼◄ ► ↑ ↓ ← →", you would get the Ultimate iPad keyboard!
e.g. look at the image: "5_iPad_landscape_tall_w_updown_keys.png"3 votes
Thank you so much for all the effort you've put into your keyboard.

Ideally, it would be for the iPhone XS Max, and iPhone Plus models. Note that only the letter keys are 24px taller than in regular mode (on an iPhone XS Max display).
Note: I'd be willing to pay $200 to get this implemented.18 votes
When using PadKeys on an iPad, it would be great, if there was a couple of options in 'preferences' to set the smaller size to text for the keys. Also, it would be great, if in addition to 'Long-press' access to 'shifted' symbols, the access was available by hold-swipe down, similar to the system iOS keyboard. This would make for a faster workflow. Thanks.1 vote
We already offer swipe UP for access to shifted variant on the symbol keys. Are you saying you would like this on letters as well, or that you’d prefer down to up?
As far as keycap font, we’ll offer a “small-label” theme if enough users are interested, just like the current “bold” theme provides a way to have bold keycaps.

The backspace key is not wde enough as has not been wide enough for quite some time, now.
I am always accidentally hitting the closet bracket key all the time.
Move the bracket/braces keys to some other location and make the backspace key wider1 vote
In the latest release (4.2.2) we increased sensitivity at the edge of the keyboard, so it should be possible to tap more confidently away from the brackets and have the presses register. Hopefully this will reduce the chances of accidentally hitting the brackets.
GBoard (I think) recently released a feature where a key that produces a different character when shifted lets you access that alternate character by dragging down on the key. Now, this tends to conflict with your keyboard’s gesture-based typing (where you trace out words); but I think something reasonably close could be implemented by requiring the typist to hold the key as long as they have to in order to raise a popup menu; _then_, in order to access the shifted characer, they swipe down from there.1 vote
Put predictive words working out left and right from the center rather than all the way to the left. One's eyes will naturally look to the center more readily when typing.1 vote
Love the idea of this, but PadKeys needs definite improvements. The number row is so short I'm constantly hitting letters below. Also, the spell check row is too short on height as well. So I look up and my sentence is jibberish. It would also help to have the most common suggestions in the center working outwards instead of to the left where it's harder to see and further away from where your eye naturally goes. Lastly, the delete button is funky. It needs to be a square not some "tetras shape" where I'm constantly getting a bracket symbol mixed in. This could be a wonderful app with some tweaks!

Thanks for the feedback.
Please, when submitting a layout request, mention whether you are primarily using iPhone or iPad, and portrait or landscape mode. These are all different layouts! Thanks.
As far as delete key on the iPad US English layout, if you are hitting the brackets, just use the “square” portion above there and ignore the lower limb :-) Seriously, we used the inverted L to make the largest and most edge-occupying key we could given other layout constraints. Making it smaller wouldn’t make it easier.
Love the keyboard features, but what makes it hard for me to use is the inaccurate swipe function. I end up trying multiple times and after a while I have to give up and type instead.
I would love to use this keyboard for the complete keyboard it has, but the inaccurate swipe feature makes me go back to free keyboards instead.11 votes
Word swipe in PadKeys is good enough for many users and certainly better than keyboards such as the system default that don’t have it at all. It also needs to be understood it will always seem worse than other keyboards on the same device simply because the keys are smaller.
We continue to work on improving word swipe incrementally. The next release will bring significant improvement in certain respects, and we will not stop there.
Please vote for this issue if it is important to you, so we can prioritize accordingly.
I need at least 3 languages simultaneously. Can't use your app until this function is implemented!1 vote

Use the OPTION key for access to apostrophes, quotation and exclamation marks, parentheses, regular as well as m and n dashes, dollar signs and a DELETE key, along with CHANGE CASE keys...ALL being the characters most frequently used moment-by-moment for texting messages and emails.
There comes a point where too many features... "cooks in the kitchen," so to speak—or characters, in this case—ruin the day-to-day practicality of the "soup" in your app.

The suggestion is to replace some of the Greek, mathematical, and other symbols on the Opted layout on iPhone with standard punctuation characters, so, for example, you don’t need Opt and Shift to get the secondary symbols under K and L in the US English layout.
Please vote for this issue if you would like this, thanks!
On the iPhone, move the backspace key to the first or second row like it is on the system keyboard.1 vote
Hi, putting this idea on the forum so we can find out how many people prefer the backspace in one place or the other.
Currently it is in the top row. GOOD because it’s like other (non-phone) keyboards and allows the punctuation keys to be in their normal places. BAD because it makes backspace harder to hit and the keyboard is harder to get used to from other phone keyboards.
We could move it to the bottom row. GOOD because it’s like phone keyboards that people are used to, and allows the backspace to be easily hit. BAD because it’s different from standard keyboards and would move the punctuation keys to a strange, hard-to-hit place.
If opinions are split we might consider making it an option, but options make the keyboard more complicated to configure (and many users never open Settings) and to maintain.
