Over and over the 'n' is missing or 5he 'spacebar' did not work and the words are glued together. Other keys have problems as well, erratically.1 vote
The swype function is WAY too slow. Coming from android too ios, it can't seem too keep up during regular speed swiping. Disappointing.3 votes
Could you please display lower case letters and after pressing shift key switch to upper case letters and vice versa?1 vote
This should already be the case by default. Note, there IS an option in PadKeys Settings to display all caps all the time, which you might have inadvertently enabled.
If the issue relates to display of a particular character in a particular language, please let us know that info and/or include a screenshot.
One-handed mode is very important for iphone plus users. Please add.1 vote
Hallo.
Thanks for your feedback.
Which apostrophe do you mean: ’ or ` ?
As far as words in bar being too dark, could you tell us which Theme you are using, please, and dark or light version?
The size of the keys is what it is because of the extra ones that bring additional functionality. This is a trade-off of course and it is not going to be perfect for every person and every device. It works pretty well in landscape in any device, as well as in portrait on iPhone 6 standard size and X size. On iPhone 6 plus size, some folks think it’s too big and want a “one-handed” mode…
I would like to get the German 'Umlaut' by pressing the letter a o u a little bit longer until the Umlaut appears like it is with the original Apple keyboard on the iPhone...
Will this be possible ?1 vote
Hello, the word suggestion is not showing (so spelling correction is not working). Could this be enabled please?1 vote
Autocorrect isn't quite as good as Apple's. You might limit the suggestions to words starting with the same letter as typed.

Need microphone key to do talk to text and numbers row on top2 votes
I've been using your keyboard for more than a year now. I'm used to the place of some keys. But there is one frustrating "issue" on the French layout!
The "%" is not shown ! See screenshot joined .
Adding it would not break your way of following the Apple keyboard😉3 votes
Thanks for bring this to our attention, we’ll see what we can do about it.
1) Four CASE CHANGE options would be HUGE!!!
2) Lock for numerical alt characters...as in making quotes and 3 successive exclamations—" !!! "—easy breezy.1 vote
You can hold down shift to type " !!! " or similar.
What do you mean by “case change options”?
Apple keyboard uses vertical slide down on key taps e.g. to access symbols. would be great if you could do similar and go one better -- vertical upwards should do CAPS. on cursor keys it could do prev/next word without the annoying need for option key use.
...or even one vertical direction for prev word and the other for prev sentence?! vertical cursor movement would be better but I understand Apple don't give access.1 vote
The cursor key forw/next word idea sounds good, and we could do it for the delete keys as well.
Pad keys is great. The only thing missing is an "Caps Lock" key. Double tapping the shift key is not good enough. Please give us a Caps Lock

While a dedicated capslock key would allow typing caps interspersed with punctuation and also simplify the internal implementation, there is unfortunately just not enough real estate to spare for another key.
HOWEVER, in the next release we’ll be supporting swipe-up on symbol keys to access the shifted version (similar to swipe-down on iOS 11 Apple keyboard). Accessing symbols this way won’t “clear” the caps lock.
Often hit the globe by mistake and fumble to get back to PadKeys, can you lock it so a long press is needed to change?4 votes
We can consider this, however:
- It slows down the use case where you often switch to an emoji keyboard, or to Apple’s (to get dictation button).
- It operates differently from the Globe on the Apple keyboard, so many users may have a hard time finding it, and/or Apple itself might reject the app.
I wonder if there would be any alternatives, maybe moving the Globe, or delaying the tap effect just enough on that key to avoid the accidental triggering during typing?
I always need both Danish and English - often mixed in the same letter, so hope that can be made, just like in swiftkey, with a choice of which keyboard yet with two dictionaries active1 vote
Add language and possibly change the keyboard font to a font you can install, so it matches your language and your language font.1 vote
Apple ships four German Layouts with the iPad. The one I prefer is QWERTZ, which has no keys for ä, ö and ü. This layout is similar to the iPhone and makes it easier to switch between the devices.
I miss this layout in padkeys.6 votes
Thanks for your thoughts. I’m just wondering though, what would be the purpose of using PadKeys in this case? Why not just use Apple’s keyboard?
add swiss german keyboard layout5 votes
We are probably going to do this but have been trying to fully get the newly-introduced phone layouts fully settled and debugged first. Sorry about the delay.
For reference, we currently understand the main differences of Swiss German from German keyboard to be:
- Put French é,à,è in place of Ö,Ä,Ü
- Remove ß (or possibly put a special ‘ss’ key in place of it
- Add ç
- Largely different shifted number row
This is a super keyboard. I've tried several looking for one that is both responsive and intelligently designed --- including tab key, number now and cursor keys.
It would be very nice to have Greek as a language option.1 vote
Great keyboard...probably the first Ive seen that's actually worth losing the dictation button... I've seen in a couple of other keyboards that you can hold the spacebar down and move your finger left or right to move the cursor. Think that would be a great option for precision moving.16 votes
There seems to be significant interest in this and we will add it if we can figure out how to do it without compromise. Right now, holding down the space bar and NOT moving gives you repeated spaces, which is often useful. The risk is that adding the cursor move capability causes it to get triggered accidentally, either when doing this or just quickly typing single spaces. We’ve used several keyboards where this can be very annoying. And no, we don’t want to add an option. :-) We’ll explore this further.
Please help us understand the use case though. Is it that you want to move farther than the cursor keys let you conveniently move?
- Don't see your idea?
